💸 The Magic of Compounding: Your Future Just Got Brighter

Welcome to the Rebel Finance School Compound Calculator — where your money learns to hustle while you sleep. 😴💰

Whether you’re just starting out or already on your financial freedom journey, this page is here to help you:

  • 🌱 See how your money grows over time with regular investing
  • 🎯 Work backwards from your big goals (like hitting £1 million!)
  • 💪 Leave feeling inspired, not overwhelmed — because any change is better than no change

🧮 Calculator 1: Watch Your Money Grow

🔍 What it does:

This calculator shows you how much your investments could grow over time. You plug in:

  • How much you invest each month
  • The interest rate (we suggest 10% as a long-term average for stock market returns).
When we say interest rate you need to remember this is not like interest you receive in a bank, when you invest in the stock market you get dividends and capital growth and it is not a straight 10% a year, it varies massively!
  • How many years you’ll keep investing

💡 Example:

If you invest £100/month for 30 years at 10% interest, you’ll end up with £206,284!

You only put in £36,000 — the rest is pure compounding magic! ✨

👉 Try it now:

Use the calculator below to play with the numbers. What happens if you invest £50? £200? What if you start earlier or go for longer?

📌 Tip: The earlier you start, the more time compounding has to work its magic. Even small amounts grow BIG over time.

🎯 Calculator 2: Hit Your Big Goals

🔍 What it does:

This one helps you figure out how much you need to invest each month to reach a specific goal — like building a £500,000 or £1,000,000 fund.

You enter:

  • Your target amount (e.g. £1,000,000)
  • The interest rate (again, 10% is a good starting point)
  • How many years you’ve got to get there

💡 Example:

Want to hit £1 million in 30 years at 10%?

You’ll need to invest about £485/month.
Can’t do that yet? No worries — start with what you can do. Even £50/month is a win. 🙌

👉 Try it now:

Set your goal and see what it takes. Then ask yourself: What’s the smallest step I can take today?

😟 Feeling Overwhelmed?

You’re not alone. These numbers can feel big. But here’s the truth:

  • You don’t have to be perfect.
  • You don’t have to start big.
  • You just have to start.

Every pound you invest is a vote for your future self. 💚

And if you’re building a legacy for your kids? That money has even more time to grow. Imagine what 50 years of compounding could do. 🤯

👶 Baby FI: Give Your Kid the Gift of Financial Freedom

What if you could set your child up for life — before they even learn to walk?

Welcome to Baby FI (Financial Independence). The idea is simple but mind-blowing:

💰 Invest £10,000 once for your new born
📈 Let it grow at 10% per year
🕰️ Leave it untouched until they’re 67
🎉 They retire with around £6.5 million — without ever adding another penny!

That’s the power of time + compounding. You’re not just giving them money — you’re giving them freedom. 🕊️

🤯 Why this matters:

  • No stress about pensions or retirement
  • More freedom to choose meaningful work
  • A head start most people never get

Yes, £10,000 is a lot. But it’s also not a lot when you think about what it buys: a financially free future. 💚

📌 Even smaller amounts can grow massively over decades. Start with what you can.

🚀 Final Thoughts: Progress, Not Perfection

We’re not here to guilt you. We’re here to challenge and cheer you on. 🎉

  • Can’t do £500/month? Do £50.
  • Can’t start now? Start next payday.
  • Already investing? Increase it by £10.

Some change is better than no change.

And you, Rebel, are already doing better than most just by being here. 💥
