Rebels’ UK and Ireland Tour: Meet, Learn and Celebrate with us
Katie and I are headed back to the UK in April and are beyond excited to do a tour of the UK and Ireland to meet you all! After an incredible tour in New Zealand, we can’t wait to meet you. We want to hang out, connect, build community, answer your questions and have fun.
One of the things we love the most about financial freedom and financial independence is that it is NOT a zero sum game. A zero sum game is where someone has to lose for you to win. Think Monopoly, Risk, football, tennis, they are all zero sum games.
Finances aren’t like that! Which means if I help you to sort out your finances it doesn’t affect how my finances perform. We can work together and all prosper and we have seen that through the courses and the amazing Rebel Finance Facebook group that crossed 20,000 members recently, which is insane!
Katie and I started Rebel Finance School in 2020 and 135 people came along and to see how it has grown and helped so many people is so inspiring!
What the heck is a meetup?
A meetup is just a gathering of the community. In New Zealand, with the help of people in each town, we chose a venue, organised a time and waited to see who would show up!

In Christchurch, over 50 people showed up and we made friends, chatted about money and then Katie and I did a 7 minute talk about personal finances, building extraordinary and more. It was such an incredible experience and we all left inspired to connect more and feeling like we had found our community. You just don’t get to have the chats about money, finances and life style design in the same way in your normal life.
Come hang out with the Donegans
We are organising meetups around the UK and Ireland in April and May 2025. We have a plan of dates and times, we just need to finalise venues in each area.
Our plan is to give you some of the new ideas we have developed for the book, play some of the new FI Music Album and share the meaning behind the songs and answer your questions. You can use the links below to sign up to come along.
We did it as an Eventbrite so that we knew roughly how many of you want to come and hang out so we can get an appropriate size venue! 56 people signed up to the Manchester event in the first day so now we know we need a reasonably big place to meet!
Please sign up for a ticket so we can start to plan the spaces where we can all meet:
Help with venues and organising
We used to have a little form on this page asking where you wanted us to come and if you were up for helping us find a venue to hang out in. Lots of you replied and we are going to be reaching out to you in the next few days with the help of Lindsay who is helping us organise the tour.
We are going to need a hand organising a venue in each location. If you are up for helping us find a venue in your town that would be amazing please leave a comment below and we will email you back!
What does helping entail?
It can be as simple as suggesting a café that is easy for people to get to and would have space for us. Or you might know a community space where we can do a talk. It should be fairly easy. We just don’t know the local places and your recommendations will save us countless hours of internet research.
The ideal venue will be somewhere we can have just for our group so we can do a short presentation and play some of the music from our new album which comes out in March.
Maybe it’s a community space, a community hall or something else you have access to. Stick a comment below and we will email you back!
Excited
Katie and I had such an amazing time meeting everyone in New Zealand and are SO EXCITED about coming home to the UK / Ireland and hanging out with you.

30 meetups around the UK and Ireland sounds like so much fun to us. We can’t wait to see you. Then we are off to Brazil for the summer (their winter) where we will run Rebel Finance School. We are planning on launching Rebel Finance School in June 2025. You can sign up for this year’s course, the new notes, emails to go with the course and more here in the Rebel Finance School Page.
Nothing fills out heart more than hearing your stories and meeting you all. Hope to see you soon.
Peace and Pineapples
Alan and Katie
P.S. We have been planning an extraordinary weekend for when we are back in the UK. What we mean by that is a weekend where we run and facilitate a process to help us design and build our own versions of an extraordinary life. We were planning early April but lots of you said you were on Easter Holidays so we have pushed the date back to May and are still looking for a venue. We will announce dates via the mailing list as soon as we have them.

We’re near Rushden, East Northampton. There’s the lovely Hall Park, or a number of large half to rent out. But we’d be willing to travel a bit if we can get the childcare, we’d be very excited to come and hang out…. I make a mean brownie or tiffin….. Although the price of chocolate it’s rocketing 😥🙈!!!

Hi Katie and Alan
I tried to sign up for the west London event on 30th May but it says unavailable, does that mean it’s already fully booked? Unfortunately I can’t make the 21st May eventually in London as Wednesday is the one evening I work. I hope there will be more London events ☺️
Many thanks for the course, it gave me much courage to take charge of my finances.
Constanze, we just found out the venue holds more people! YAY. Grab a ticket now. Can’t wait to hang out with you
Alan
It would be a bit off the beaten track but Addlestone has a community centre that can be rented out for a small fee. It would be great to meet you and thank you in person, even if I’ve only completed the first session.
Maite, Thank you so much for the tip. We will google that and have a look! Maybe you can squeeze episode two in before meeting us as well? YOU ROCK. Alan and katie
Thank you Alan and Katie, more people like you is what this world needs. Bless you
Mary! that is a lovely comment. We are so excited to be travelling all over the UK! Sending you happiness
Hi, I noticed a bit of a gap in East Anglia! Any chance of a Cambridge visit?
Thanks for all you do!
Laura, what a lovely message. There are so many gaps! lol. We wish we could get to every single place in the UK but I think we have run out of time this visit. 30 meetups in 60 days is pushing it even for our energy! Sorry. Next time we get back I will put Cambridge on the list. I love Cambridge. Such a beautiful place
If you want to add a date in London I have a very cool venue you could use in the Vauxhall area. Could cope with 50 or so people.
Owen, that sounds awesome. Will have to be next tour as we have maxed out our days this time in the UK! I really appreciate you reaching out as that would be amazing.
